Hollywood director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming spy-thriller film Tenet has sparked excitement among the Indian audience following Dimple Kapadia’s recent boarding the international production. Not long ago, the film has gone on the floors in the U.S and is slated to be release in seven countries, including Italy, United Kingdom, Estonia and India.

The acclaimed filmmaker was in Mumbai last year to attend the Film Heritage Foundation, hosted by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur. The event was on the lines of promoting the use, restoration and preservation of films.

During this time, Nolan decided to shoot a few portions of Tenet in Mumbai during his four-day stay! The shoot is scheduled in mid-September and most of the filming will take place in South Bombay, in the vicinity of Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway market and the Taj Mahal Hotel.

Mumbai Mirror reported that the auteur was on a recce in and around Mumbai in February and then once again in April. Nolan will return to the city of dreams mid-September for the shoot. He plans to shoot a major chase scene during the seven-eight schedule in Mumbai.

Tenet puts together a fantastic cast of Hollywood A-listers such as Robert Pattinson, Michael Caine, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Clemence Poesy, John David Washington and now, our very own Bobby. Some of the stars are expected to fly down for the Mumbai shoot.

Reportedly, Dimple Kapadia has a significant role in the film. She is playing a 60-plus woman having a crucial role in the narrative. “Her readings were done at a SoBo hotel,” as informed by a Mumbai Mirror source.

Tenet is being described as an action-epic based on the premise showcasing the world of international espionage. The filmmaker seems to have a thing for July, since all his previous hits have released during the same month. The Dark Knight in July 2008, Inception in July 2010, The Dark Knight Rises in July 2012 and Dunkirk 2017, were all successful at the box office. Along the line, Tenet hits theatres in July 2020.
