‘The Addams Family’ trailer is here to scare up some laughs

You youngs out there probably don’t know about The Addams Family. The long-running series of New Yorker cartoons — going all the way back to the 1930s! — eventually led to multiple television series’, a couple of musicals, and a handful of beloved ’90s movies starring Raul Julia (RIP), Anjelica Huston, and Christopher Lloyd.
The titular family is an unusual squad who basically live every day like it’s Halloween (only with a touch more actual magic). This upcoming animated movie, which notably draws its artistic inspiration from the original cartoons, seems to follow the Addams’ as they move into a new home and learn to live alongside the normals.
The Addams Family hits theaters on Oct. 11.
