OnePlus Launches Red Cable Club Rewards Program For Loyalists
By OnePlus is doubling down on trying to offer more exclusive benefits to its loyal customer-base in India with the launch of a new program called the Red Cable Club membership promising “the best of rewards and many more privileges” to all OnePlus users.
Synonymous with the red charging cable that OnePlus has been shipping with its phones since the OnePlus 2, the Red Cable Club is a lifetime -free membership program designed to reward fans of the brand for their loyalty. In addition to all the OnePlus Care benefits that were announced in October (an after-sales service program targetted towards new and existing customers), the Red Cable Club membership offers registered users free 50GB cloud photo storage for a year.
Members will also be able to participate in the Red Cable Jackpot which is valid till December 31, 2019, to try their luck and win curated gift boxes each worth INR 1 Lakh and 50% discount vouchers on OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2.
To avail all the membership benefits, you will need to make sure your OnePlus phone is running the latest version of OxygenOS. If your device is running Android 10, you will need to head over to Settings > login to your OnePlus account to link your phone and automatically register for the Red Cable membership.
OnePlus users running older Android versions will have to link their phone to their OnePlus account by updating the Community app from the Google Play store and going to Community > Profile > Red Cable Club.
If you happen to be someone who’s still been holding on to your OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X, you will have to download the OnePlus Care app and verify your device to get exclusive benefits.
OnePlus, however, does state that if you’ve already claimed one of the benefits under the OnePlus Care Program, you will not be able to claim it again through Red Club. You can head here if you have more questions about the OnePlus Red Cable Club.
