After months of waiting, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum release date has been locked in for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch: you’ll be able to get your hands on this upcoming game in late 2022.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is an upcoming action-adventure game that aims to tell a new story about a particularly interesting character from J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic fantasy world: Gollum, a rather unfortunate Hobbit who has been corrupted by The One Ring.
A special presentation launched today as part of Nacon Connect, showing off a handful of new things and dropping a fair few details. Let’s get to one of the cooler things that have been revealed: for the first time ever, we’re finally getting a good look at the ugly mug of The Mouth of Sauron.
The Mouth of Sauron serves as the emissary of Sauron, the titular “Lord of the Rings” and the primary antagonist for the core trilogy. In-game images of Legolas’ father Thranduil and the legendary wizard Gandalf the Grey were also revealed as part of today’s presentation.
This upcoming game will be showing the journey of Gollum as he attempts to retrieve The One Ring after losing it in his cave. Daedelic Entertainment Producer Harald Riegler promises that the game will be “faithful” to Tolkien’s vision of the universe.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum release date will be sometime in Fall 2022 for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch; the delay to 22 was announced earlier this year. Unfortunately, a more specific release date has not yet been announced.
